couple-business-peopleWhen your child is ready to understand, it’s probably one of the first things you teach them: “look both ways before crossing the street.”

You give the little munchkin a bit of freedom and your hand, and your instincts stand by, tentatively, on that chance that they decide to dart into the street, jump into a bush, or taste somebody’s already eaten lollipop.

As anyone who’s ever dealt with little people knows, you must anticipate everything possible and you can’t anticipate everything.

Kids will find ways to unlock doors you were sure couldn’t be unlocked, move cribs, get their head stuck between banisters, and climb up on any table or counter that is a little bit too high for them to fall from.

What children teach their caretakers to do is to dart, dive, and barrel roll the moment something could possibly go wrong; in other words they teach you to anticipate, stay prepared, and bring out your inner superhero.

The moment you decide to catch up on the latest baby daddy scandal on Maury they will find a way to break free of their metaphorical shackles, taste test the latest cleaning ingredients, or test your crystal bowl to see if it bounces.

Business, though slightly less mad scientisty, works in much the same way – plan ahead, anticipate, and get ready for things to go wrong, or you will be rockin’ Einstein’s hairdo from all the stress of damage control.

When you’re anticipating, you plan for things to go wrong and you’re ready for challenges, you’re better prepared for the unexpected, even when you know you can’t anticipate everything.

Just like staying alert, on your toes, and arming yourself with knowledge protects your children, being prepared protects your business as well. It’s a matter of anticipating and preparing for things to go wrong so that you can apply your emergency breaking system if a cute little puppy darts out in front of you!

If you’re going to have success in your business and achieve your goals you’ll need a few essential pieces. For one, you need intense focus. When you’re focused on a particular outcome you’ve got to be ready to play full out and make a very deep commitment to getting results.

Next you need awareness. What are you doing right and how are you holding yourself back? If you don’t know this you can spend a lot of time working extremely hard with no results, a lot of exhaustion, and a feeling of emptiness inside – “what am I doing wrong?”

Once you’ve developed awareness, it’s all about self-mastery. Having awareness without making the necessary changes will not enhance your life. What are you aware of that you need to change right now?

And, finally it’s about time mastery. It’s about using your time effectively, making fast decisions and commitments and changing your mind slowly. To start getting fast results you’ve got to make fast decisions. If you’re ready to make a life changing decision and get some fast results apply for your complimentary decision-making session immediately. Fast decisions get fast results.
